What was the experience of your 1st Baptiste class?

My experience of my 1st Baptiste class was John Longinidis’ class in 2018. This form of yoga spoke to me immediately because of the intensity and community I felt right away. Just listening to the room of yogis breathing together through the poses as well as feeling so welcomed by Emma Sutphen at the front desk helped me grasp the importance of the ideology that everyone is welcome in the Baptiste community. I’ll never forget it.

Why do you Practice Baptiste Yoga?

I practice Baptiste yoga because of how it allows me to show up off the mat, with love and gratitude for myself and in turn, for my community and for others. I find in Baptiste Yoga, there is always something new to discover for myself- physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The structured sequences of the Baptiste flow challenges me to find my new edge, because there always is one. It just shows up in different forms. It’s more than a trendy workout class, it’s a self-transformative practice.

Why do you teach Baptiste Yoga?

I teach Baptiste Yoga because I want others to experiences the gifts this practice has to offer. To name a few: self-love, purpose, integrity, focus & community (the physical workout is an added bonus :)

My promise.

I commit to making sure each student feels comfortable, appreciated, and welcome when they walk through the studio doors. I promise to deliver a sense of community and empowerment while teaching from my heart at BPYG.

“You can achieve anything you set your mind to. Remember- success does not only mean manmade recognition but your happiness in life. No material wealth can compare with your happiness that is sustaining. Pursue that sustaining happiness now, by building your life’s foundation in work, family, friends, spirituality, and others.”
